Jersey's largest ever youth market comes to The Royal Square on Sat 16 March
The market will run from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm on Saturday 16 March and all the teams taking part in this year’s Challenge will be together selling their products and showcasing their businesses to the shoppers of St Helier.
Kirsty Mackay, Associate Partner, EY said “We have more schools and teams taking part in the Challenge this year, which means this will be Jersey’s largest ever youth market. Market Day is always a great way to see the teams in action and we are extremely grateful to The Bailiff’s Office for letting the students use The Royal Square.”
Assistant Headteacher of Grainville School, James Bennett said “Our students are looking forward to Market Day and are working hard to produce a fantastic range of high-quality products to sell. The teams have already learned a huge amount and Market Day gives them a great opportunity to put what they have learned into practice.”
This year’s contestants are trading from January to March and selling handmade craft items, mugs, key rings and gifts as they compete to become the Overall Winner of the Channel Islands Student Business Challenge 2019.
